The theme of this year’s world FM day’s celebration which holds on May 11, 2022 is “Leading A Sustainable Future”.
The World FM Day is to recognize and celebrate the important work that workplace and facility managers and the industry as a whole contribute to business around the world. It aims to raise the profile of the facility management profession wherever those who practice it affect the health, safety, productivity and welfare of those using the built environment.
Global FM was established on 17 May 2006 by the coming together of the leading Facility Management Associations of the day to collaborate and further their common objectives.
The definition of terms is contained in the ISO 41011:2017 Facility Management — Vocabulary which is one of the ISO 41000 series of facility management standards.
It is my hope that this Order will open the door to this treasure of opportunities for young Technicians, for Artisans, for Vendors and Suppliers and for Small Businesses and Cottage Industries.
