In loving memory of Mr. Collins Osayamwen, a visionary leader and dedicated professional who made significant contributions to the field of facilities management in Nigeria. He served as the past president of the Association of Facilities Management Practitioners, Nigeria (AFMPN) from 2021 to 2022, and during that time, he played a pivotal role in advancing the FM industry in Nigeria.

Mr. Collins Osayamwen was not only a leader in the industry, but also a kind and generous mentor to FM professionals in the built environment. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of facilities management professionals in Nigeria.

Pastor Stephen Jagun’s Message to AFMPN Members

Pastor Stephen Jagun, Chairman, Board of Trustees, AFMPN, sent the following message to AFMPN members.

“Dear AFMPN Members and Stakeholders,

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Collins Osayamwen, the first President of the Association of Facilities Management Practitioners, Nigeria (AFMPN) and a highly esteemed member of our Board of Trustees. Mr. Collins Osayamwen departed from this world on January 31, 2024.

Mr. Collins Osayamwen was a visionary leader, a dedicated advocate for our mission and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

His contributions to the Facilities Management Industry in Nigeria and beyond have been immeasurable and his impact will be felt for generations to come.

As we mourn the loss of a great leader, we also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.

Mr. Collins Osayamwen’s unwavering commitment to excellence and his passion for advancing the goals of the Association and the industry have left an indelible mark on our community.

In the coming days, we will be working closely with Mr. Collins Osayamwen’s family to honor his memory and celebrate his life.

We will share details about memorial services and other arrangements as soon as they become available.
