Dr. Hikmot Koleoso is a lecturer and facilities management specialist with about 30 years of experience in the Academia and facility management profession. She lectures in both the Post Graduate and Undergraduate Programmes in Estate Management and Facilities Management.

She had her PhD in Building with specialization in Facilities Management, she is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Lagos where she served as the Coordinator of the University’s Masters in Facilities Management (MFM) programme for 6 years and currently holds the position of Sub-Dean in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences in the university.

Dr. Koleoso served as a member of team on various assignments and as a facilitator in several workshops and continuing professional development programmes for the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, the Nigeria Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association, Unilag Centre for Housing and Association of Facilities Management Practitioners, Nigeria (AFMPN) amongst others.

Dr. Koleoso has presented papers in international conferences in different places including England, Scotland, Denmark, Ghana and South Africa amongst others and has served as a panelist in several forums, served as an external examiner to higher institutions for Under graduate and Post graduate examination within and outside Nigeria, served as a reviewer to a number of national and international journals and as a Co-editor in book of readings and currently provides FM consulting services and training at both international and national levels.

Dr. Koleoso is also involved in the development and application of several facilities management models both in the UK and Nigeria. These models focused on areas including facilities performance measurement, sustainable waste management, benchmarking of facilities management services and reduction of carbon emission from construction.

She is a member of 2 research clusters of the African Research University Alliance.

Authored/co-authored over 45 scholarly articles.

Produced 2 PhDs in facilities management as a co-supervisor.
