Built environment is an artificial space created by human and it supports our way of life. We live, work and recreate in this space.
The built environment consist of our homes, workplaces and recreational facilities. Cities, infrastructure, buildings, parks etc., are all created spaces.

The built environment does not only include the physical environment but also the social environment.
Many professionals often come together from various disciplines such as architecture, engineering, sociology/anthropology, urban planning, interior design etc., in creating a sustainable built environment that pose no threat to human existence.
